Some have rolled their eyes or even been willing to ask what I was thinking when I made this image of “Peggy”.  Well, art, as well as beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

In the early 1970s I lived in the California desert along the Mexican border. My first Navy duty station was the National Parachute Test Range (NPTR) in El Centro, CA.  As a newly minted professional photographer I took every opportunity to hone my craft.  Early on, I wasn’t quite sure why I was in the middle of a desert but soon came to realize the importance of the Navy Facility. It is still the winter home of the famous Blue Angles Demonstration Team.

Peggy was a willing model as we strolled the “junk” yard finding unusual settings.  I do often see things that others don’t… It is one of the reasons I do what I do.

  • This is the exact matted original you will receive.

Your purchase includes an original Black & White handmade silver gelatin fine art print by Tim Dardis. I made the original Black & White photograph, I hand processed the film and then enlarged the negative and hand pocessed the Black & White photographic paper in my own darkroom.  The finished image is then hand signed and "finger printed".  That "finger print" is the assurance you are getting everything original from start to finish.  I hope you love what I make!

The artwork includes an archival mounted silver gelatin print. A Certified Picture Framer (CPF) creates, by hand, the french lines, acid free mat board and backing.  The lost art of French lines are added to enhance the display. (See video.)

Your new artwork, my hand written story about the art itself as well as the Certificate of Authenticity is placed in a protective sleeve and shipped to your address in a protective box.  Your new artwork is ready to install in your frame and hang on the wall.

The only digital process involved is displaying it online.
